From the Open Forums Friday, July 03, 2009 Israel's Hidden Crisis Throughout my life I have been inspired by the Besht; the Baal Shem Tov, Rebbe Ysrael's teachings, and I have seen the Haredim in a romantic light as outsiders who keep pure much of what has been cast away in Judaism, curators as it were of a wonderful East European heritage, a living museum of the past. But I increasingly feel that the Haredim have taken the wrong path, partly the fault of the government of Israel in 1945 and the poor leadership being offered by the Rebbis today.

TEHRAN, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Iran's defeated candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi said that he will disclose "tell-all documents" proving fraud and irregularities in Iran's recent presidential election, local satellite Press TV reported on Thursday.
Mousavi, who has rejected the result of Iran's presidential election as fraudulent, said on Wednesday that a number of Iranian scholars are set to form a committee to preserve the vote of the people, the report said.

Support for Hamas has dropped by almost ten per cent, an opinion poll has shown.
The survey of 1,199 people, by the Jerusalem Media and Communications Centre (JMCC), put public support for Hamas in the West Bank and Gaza Strip at 18.8 per cent, compared with 27.7 per cent in its previous poll in January.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah faction is now more popular than Hamas with a 34.9 per cent rating, up from 26 percent in January, indicating the group could take the next election in Gaza.
