After viewing the first one, I elected to view several others related....that showed the "other side". I'm so sick of PC, flighty liberals and being told that certain minorities have more rights than I do because of their skin color or their more recent national or ethnic origin. Just lost my head. Maven's right. Those protestors were for secular democracy and free speech and they happen to be Muslim. Fortunately, everybody isn't so blindly hateful as yourself. I'd love to see you get bitch slapped by a commanding officer who doesn't agree with your Crusader mentality. Found some more info about this group of which I have never heard of before. It was founded by the 'right-wing' newspaper 'The Daily Mail' columnist and Ugandan Asian refugee from Idi Amin, Yasmin Alabhai-Brown.

Yasmin has opposed burqa and Jilbab being worn in public buildings like schools and first cousin marriages from the Indian sub-continent which produce generation after generation of Pakistanis who do not integrate into the society.

"British Muslims for Secular Democracy today announces the launch of its plans to organise a demonstration on Saturday 31st October to counter a demonstration by Al Muhajiroun, at which they will call for the abolition of democracy in Britain and the imposition of Shariah Law on all.

That demonstration has been called by Islam 4 UK – a successor organisation to Al Muhajiroun.
British Muslims for Secular Democracy are organising the counter demonstration, bringing together a number of religious and non-religious groups.

Shaaz Mahboob, vice-chair of British Muslims for Secular Democracy says:

“Our counter-demonstration is based on our belief in, and commitment to, those liberal values that define the British state, including legal and constitutional equality for all, equal rights for women and minorities, and religious freedom, including the right to be free of faith”.

With the possible creation of the state of Turkey!!! I'd say that entire chapter stands as a very large demonstation against sharia government. And please, let's separate sharia as a form of government and sharia fiqh that every Muslim practices. They were not demonstrating against dietary requirements or praying five times a day which is also sharia.

Now this is what I want to see from muslims.

I especially would want to see these demonstrations held beside those extremists in the streets of london & new york. I wanna see muslims actively correcting their own.
